Is Films For Change available worldwide?

Yes, our site is available in 99% of the world (apart from a few countries that block our website due to censorship).

How much does it cost to subscribe?

Its $9AUD per month to subscribe. Our site is available worldwide, and when you progress through the payment gateway our system will automatically convert the fee to your local currency.

What is included in a subcription?

Subscribers can watch films on our site anytime, as many times as you like.

How do I subscribe?

To join, please go to this page https://filmsforchange.stream and click the 'join' button at the top. There's a few forms to fill out which takes just a few minutes to complete. Thanks for supporting our educational, awareness building initiative!

How do I watch films after subscribing?

Our site can be enjoyed on thousands of different devices, via the web or with our free apps. We have free apps for Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Android phones and iPhones. Our site and apps are also compatible with Chromecast and Apple Airplay.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes.

How do I cancel my subscription?

There are different procedures for how to cancel your subscription depending on whether you subscribed via our website or via one of our apps. If you are unsure, please email us and we can check your account for you. Otherwise, please refer to the below procedures for how to cancel your subscription depending on your original method of subscribing.

NOTE: Please note that if you are receiving film suggestions via email, and you unsubscribe to these emails, this does NOT cancel your subscription to our streaming service. Our emails and our streaming platform are two different services, and need to be cancelled separately. Please contact us if you need assistance.

If you subscribed via our website
Go to our homepage then click 'sign in', then 'my account' > 'my account' > 'purchases' > 'cancel membership' > 'cancel my membership'.

If you subscribed via our android app
1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store.
2. Check if you’re signed in to the correct Google Account.
3. Tap Menu > Subscriptions.
4. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
5. Tap Cancel subscription.
6. Follow the instructions to finalise the cancellation.

7. After you cancel your subscription you’ll still be able to use your subscription for the period which you’ve already paid.

If you subscribed via our iphone app
* Please note: Uninstalling our Films For Change app will NOT cancel your subscription. To cancel your subscription please do this:

1. Open 'Settings' on your device. 
2. Tap your name. 
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Tap the subscription that you want to manage. 
5. Tap Cancel Subscription.

6. After you cancel your subscription you’ll still be able to use your subscription for the period which you’ve already paid.

If you subscribed via our ROKU app
* Please note: Uninstalling our Films For Change app will NOT cancel your subscription. To cancel your subscription please do this:

1. Press the Home button  on your Roku remote.

2. Use the directional pad to navigate the channel grid and highlight the partner subscription channel, or The Roku Channel. The directional pad is plus-shaped and is in the center of your Roku remote.

3. Press the Star button  on your remote to open the options menu for the desired channel.
4. Partner subscription channel: Select Manage subscription to view the renewal date and access additional options.
5. The Roku Channel: Select Manage subscriptions to see a list of all Premium Subscriptions on The Roku Channel. Select the individual partner subscription to view the renewal date and access additional options.
6. To unsubscribe, select Cancel subscription. A message appears telling you how long you can continue to access the content and services.7. Confirm by selecting Cancel subscription. A new message appears confirming the cancellation, along with a reminder of the date when you will no longer have access to the subscription.

8. Select Done.

After you cancel your subscription you’ll still be able to use your subscription for the period which you’ve already paid.

If you subscribed via our Fire TV/Amazon App
* Please note: Uninstalling our Films For Change app will NOT cancel your subscription. To cancel your subscription please do this:

1. On your media player, go to 'Memberships and Subscriptions'. 

2. Select 'Manage Subscription' next to 'Films For Change'

3. Click the link under Advance Controls to be directed to the main subscription page. From this page, you can end your subscription.

4. After you cancel your subscription you’ll still be able to use your subscription for the period which you’ve already paid.

If you subscribed via our Apple TV App
1. Open Settings on your Apple TV
2. Go to  Users and Accounts > [account name] Subscriptions and select a subscription.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to change or cancel your subscription.

4. After you cancel your subscription you’ll still be able to use your subscription for the period which you’ve already paid.



How do I watch films on my TV?

There are five possible ways to watch Films For Change on smart TV's:


1. If you own a Roku, Fire TV, or Apple TV media player, you can install our Films For Change app via the app store on your TV, then log in to use your account on your TV. If you have one of these media players please let us know which one you have, and we can give you the specific advice for how to install the app on that media player.


2. If you own a Chromecast device, you can cast from your phone, tablet, or iPad to your TV. A Chromecast device can be purchased for only around $50, so its quite a cheap way to enable TV viewing.


3. If you have an Apple TV or Airplay2-compatible smart TV, you can wirelessly cast audio or video from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac using Apple airplay.


4. If your tv has an HDMI input, and you own a laptop, you can connect your laptop to your TV and then select 'HDMI' as the input, and watch films on your TV that way.


5. If your tv has a web browser and is connected to the internet, you may be able to view it via your web browser. (This depends on how new your web browser is, as some older smart TV's may have outdated browsers that are not compatible with our site).

How do I purchase a gift card?

Thanks for your interest in purchasing a gift card. It's a very simple process:

You can choose from various different time spans and price options. 

2. Once you've purchased the card, you'll receive an email that contains a link and a coupon code. You need to send this to the recipient so that they can redeem their gift card when they are ready. How do I redeem a gift card?

To redeem your gift card, the recipient of the gift card simply needs to go to this link: https://filmsforchange.stream/gift_card_redemptions/new
Then enter their gift voucher code to redeem their card and create their account.
